You Break Through

As someone who struggles with severe dental anxiety and PTSD due to a past dentist dropping a crown down my throat multiple times, finding a safe practice felt impossible. I actually went to five different dentists prior to this trying to find the right fit, and none of them compared. On top of my dental phobia, I had open-heart surgery and a carotid endarterectomy exactly two years ago this month. Because of my heart condition, I was incredibly anxious about finding a team who could safely manage my care and protect my health. Today, Dentists of Vista changed everything for me. From the second I walked in, Chenelle at the front desk was smiling, incredibly friendly, and immediately set a positive tone. The waiting room itself was bright, clean, and felt very comfortable. My hygienist, Gaby, has the patience of a saint. She made sure I was completely comfortable, even providing a blanket for me to use. Because of her gentle care, I was actually able to go through with a complete deep cleaning, including scaling and root planing. Dr. Ryad was phenomenal. He thoroughly explained everything to me and truly understood both my dental anxiety and my medical history. He help to ease my nerves by explaining that they use a throat guard here so I wouldn't have to worry about my past bad experience! When the appointment was finished, I literally cried tears of relief. They were absolutely amazing from start to finish. Great service and very professional.

I have a long history of painful, uncomfortable dental visits, so I went into this practice bracing for the worst. Dentists of Vista completely changed that. Between root scaling and planing, a root canal, and an inlay and crowns, this was not a small visit, and I felt virtually no pain through any of it. The dentist was gentle, walked me through each step, and made the whole process feel manageable instead of dreaded. The front desk also made scheduling easy throughout. If you've had bad dental experiences in the past and are nervous like I was, I can't recommend this office enough.
